The following is an outline of the steps involved in installing the prerequisite software for running the SSC 3D Orbit Viewer application on hp-ux. The reader should refer to each product's installation instructions for detailed information about installing the product.
Step 1: Ensure that you have the required OpenGL® graphics library installed
HP 3D technology requires HP-UX700 OpenGL 3D Graphics Runtime Environment (B6268AA). If your graphics hardware is not supported, you will not be able to run SSC 3D Orbit Viewer.
Step 2: Install the JavaTM 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE)
Install Java J2SE version 1.4.2 or higher. Only the RTE is required to support SSC 3D Orbit Viewer.
Refer to these instructions for configuring Mozilla and derivative browsers (e.g., NetscapeTM 6/7).
Step 3: Install Java 3DTM API
Install the Java 3D API 1.3 or higher. Only the Runtime installation is required to support the SSC 3D Orbit Viewer.
When finished installing the prerequisite software, close this window and return to the SSC 3D Orbit Viewer application site to launch the application.
